10 strongest Devil Fruits in One Piece

Devilishly strong power.

Joy Boy

In the world of One Piece, consuming a mythical fruit known as a Devil Fruit will grant the eater supernatural abilities, but there is a catch. In exchange for the power, the eater will lose their ability to swim. In fact, even the mere exposure to seawater greatly weakens them. In the world of piracy, that’s a major weakness.

Despite the risk, however, many characters couldn’t resist the temptation of power. Thus, numerous ability holders roam the seas. However, not all Devil Fruits are created equal. Here are ten of the strongest Devil Fruits out there.

10. Barrier-Barrier Fruit

Currently wielded by Bartolomeo, the Barrier-Barrier Fruit grants its user the ability to create barriers. While it doesn’t sound much, it’s actually a pretty powerful ability. The barriers produced are nearly impossible to destroy. In fact, it can even withstand Kozuki Oden’s strikes and Elizaello II’s King Punch.

However, it has quite a few limitations. Only one barrier can be sustained at any given point, and it can only expand to a limited surface. And while it’s a formidable defensive ability, it’s a bit lacking in terms of offense.

9. Bird-Bird Fruit, Model: Phoenix

The Bird-Bird Fruit, Model: Phoenix may have a cute name, but it grants highly-coveted abilities. As a Mythical Zoan, this fruit lets its user transform into a phoenix, complete with the ability to conjure flames. These flames, however, are rather unique.

Instead of burning its targets, the Phoenix Fruit’s blue flames have healing properties. It can be used to heal the user or another character, and it’s quite potent. During the Paramount War, Marco was able to immediately heal wounds that could’ve been fatal.

8. Fish-Fish Fruit, Model: Azure Dragon

The Fish-Fish Fruit, Model: Azure Dragon is another Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit currently possessed by Kaido — assuming that the former Emperor is still alive. Like other Zoan Devil Fruits, this fruit allows its user to transform into the mythical Azure Dragon, exponentially boosting the user’s offensive and defensive abilities.

The Azure Dragon’s scales are incredibly tough, easily tanking most of Luffy and Co’s attacks. In addition, it also grants a number of abilities: generating Flame Clouds and controlling natural elements. The Flame Clouds can be used as a foothold to traverse the sky, as well as a means to lift objects. Meanwhile, controlling the elements further boosts the user’s combat prowess and versatility.

7. Op-Op Fruit

The Op-Op Fruit may not seem much, but that is just because Law isn’t maximizing its potential. As Law is usually seen doing, the Op-Op Fruit lets its owner manipulate objects within the spherical room he creates. Law usually uses these rooms to mix and match people’s bodies, teleport, or disassemble his enemies.

However, the Op-Op Fruit is much more capable than that. Killing can be as easy as stealing candies from a baby, especially since the user can take out a person’s heart and obliterate it. Plus, it has a special ability. The user can choose to sacrifice themselves and grant another person eternal youth, or so it is believed.

6. Glint-Glint Fruit

Eating the Glint-Glint Fruit turns its consumer into a light human, just like Admiral Kizaru of the Marines. The Glint-Glint Fruit’s power is quite straightforward. As a Logia Devil Fruit, it allows its user to use and turn into light. Kizaru uses the fruit’s powers to shoot laser beams from his extremities, as well as create a sword made of light. He also tends to transform his body into light, moving around at lightspeed.

5. Gas-Gas Fruit

Caesar Clown’s Gas-Gas Fruit is a personal favorite of mine. It is, after all, one of the few powers that knocked out Luffy with one shot. If not for Caesar’s lack of combat ability, the Gas-Gas Fruit would have already caused a lot of damage.

Like other Logia Devil Fruits, the Gas-Gas Fruit turns its eater into a gas human. The gas from the fruit itself is both poisonous and explosive, making the user a fatal weapon in and of themselves. But it doesn’t end there. The fruit also allows the user to control pre-existing gas — including oxygen. As such, they can easily knock down or even kill their enemies without much effort.

4. Soul-Soul Fruit

The Soul-Soul Fruit is undeniably one of the most terrifying Devil Fruits in One Piece. It lets its users manipulate souls and do with them as they see fit. Big Mom likes to use it to maintain her territory, Whole Cake Island. However, the Soul-Soul Fruit is much more than a utility.

As long as the target fears the user, the Soul-Soul Fruit user can easily harvest the target’s lifespan. It is up to the user’s discretion as to how much of it to harvest. In addition, the user can also put these souls into inanimate objects, giving them life. That’s exactly how Big Mom created her Homies.

3. Tremor-Tremor Fruit

The Tremor-Tremor Fruit is known to be the strongest Paramythia Devil Fruit, and it is said to have the ability to destroy the world. And it doesn’t seem to be an exaggeration.

The Tremor-Tremor Fruit grants its user the power to create massive vibrations or shockwaves. It can affect the air, ground, and even the seafloor. Simply, it can create earthquakes and seaquakes. Apparently, its full power can even destroy entire islands with ease.

2. Dark-Dark Fruit

Logia Devil Fruits mostly make their wielders immune to blunt force without Haki. The “mostly” part is because of the Dark-Dark Fruit. It doesn’t let its users turn into its element and actually makes them more susceptible to physical attacks.

But despite this glaring weakness, the Dark-Dark Fruit retains one of the most powerful Devil Fruits in the series. It nullifies other Devil Fruit abilities as long the user touches the target. In addition, the user can utilize the darkness to absorb and repel objects. They can even use it on a widescale area, causing massive damage in a single move. Most of all, it’s possibly what allowed Blackbeard to steal Whitebeard’s Devil Fruit abilities.

1. Human-Human Fruit, Model: Nika

As you’ve probably guessed, the first place belongs to the god — the Sun God, specifically. It’s no exaggeration to say that the revelation of the true nature of Luffy’s Devil Fruit shocked the entire One Piece fandom.

After all, it turns out that the fruit’s abilities are more than just turning its user into a rubber human; it apparently deals with reality itself. The Human-Human Fruit, Model: Nika lets the user manipulate their surroundings to whatever their imagination can come up with. And that includes the user, their enemies, and even the environment. As to how strong it can be? Well, we can only imagine.
