The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Street Fighter X Tekken will be getting 12 additional fighters on July 31. Capcom was planning on releasing this DLC after the PS Vita version hit stores, but have moved up the date to coincide with a patch balancing update for the console versions.
The six characters from Street Fighter are Blanka, Cody, Dudley, Elena, Guy, and Sakura. The Tekken side will see Bryan Fury, Jack, Alisa, Lars, Lei, and Christie. The DLC will will cost you 1600 Microsoft Points/$20.00. However, PS3 owners of the game will get these 12 characters for free if they get Street Fighter X Tekken for the PlayStation Vita, which comes out on October 2.
As for the patch content update, here’s some of the changes you can expect detailed during a panel at EVO earlier today:
Ryu, Ken and Akuma’s Tatsumaki Sempuu kyaku have all had their hitboxes reduced in size
Rolento’s jabs addressed!
Xiaoyu’s crouching hard kick phoenix loops
Raven crouching HP loops
Auto-block gem has been re-balanced
There was a lot of fan outrage earlier this year due to these characters being “disc locked content” as opposed to actual downloadable content. Capcom’s Community Manager Brett Elston didn’t shy away from the issue in the Capcom-Unity posting, stating that “the dev teams are listening, and promise to incorporate [fan] feedback into future titles – fighting or otherwise.”
