DLC it up
The newsy deals this weekend are all on recently released and upcoming titles. Just yesterday, GMG relaunched its “VIP” sale (aka MSRP circumventing sale), where you’ll see discounts on next Tuesday’s Evolve and this summer’s Batman: Arkham Knight.
You’ll need to login or create an account on this page to see the discounts. The 25% off applies to all three of Evolve’s Editions – the regular ole’ Standard at $45, Digital Deluxe at $60, and the pricey Monster Race Edition at $75. We ran the math, and essentially you can safely skip the Digital Deluxe – it offers the least compelling savings.
Grab Standard if you don’t care about the 5th monster, but if you do, you’ll probably have to fork over the $75 for the Monster Race Edition (which includes the Season Pass and all those other trinkets).
Over at Steam Store, they’re running a Square Enix Weekend Sale, offering new lows on the Tomb Raider Collection and Lara Croft and The Temple Of Osiris. Games from the Final Fantasy series are also on sale, although they’ve been cheaper in the past.
For consoles, Walmart is matching Black Friday’s $39.99 price tag for Dragon Age: Inquisition on all the platforms. Good game, even if the weekend multiplayer events are a dud for now.
