300 musicians join forces for epic Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker medley

300 musicians behind epic Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker medley

In anticipation of Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail, 300 musicians have come together to create an epic medley of tunes from the previous expansion Endwalker. This piece took over 300 hours to edit by Husky by the Geek, who organized the landmark video and said this project was “the most difficult thing” he’s ever done.

The 10-minute Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker apparently involved quite a lot of organization, in addition to the arrangement, mixing, and editing. Husky by the Geek said it was an exhausting task.

What kept the video game cover artist going, however, is his “love for FFXIV and its community,” who gave him a lot of motivation. That helps when you’re dealing with, apparently, 23 Vegas Pro crashes. The YouTube video showcases many of the musicians as they play and sing, which must have kept Husky’s computer screaming throughout the over-300 hour process.

Nevertheless, it’s beautiful to see the gaming community come together; VTubers, players of the game, and other cover artists all assisted with the production of this piece. Alex Moukala also took part in this cover, despite not making a video appearance.

Unfortunately, Husky by the Geek says that medleys can’t be licensed on Spotify anymore, but you can download the track here. You can also play this medley through YouTube Music.

Two Final Fantasy XIV actors contributed to the project

Bethan Walker and Colin Ryan, who portray popular characters Alisaie and Alphinaud in Final Fantasy XIV, sang for the medley’s last part. You’ll be able to hear their acting performances in the Dawntrail expansion on July 2. Hopefully, in a few years when the next expansion is incoming, we might get another 300 musician medley based on Dawntrail.
