New maps are launching today for Modern Warfare 3, for all of you COD: Elite subscribers out there. Keep in mind that they’re not regular multiplayer maps — they’re specifically for “Faceoff” gametype, which pits smaller teams of 1v1 or 2v2 together for close combat.
The three maps are Vortex, Intersection, and U-Turn. There’s also a Spec-Ops mission called Arctic Recon. As is the case with the last few Call of Duty games, 360 owners get this as a timed exclusive, followed by PS3 and PC gamers in a few months.
Here’s the part where you expect me to bash Modern Warfare 3. Surprise, suckers! I actually really like the game, and still play it with friends. Here’s hoping Black Ops 2 lives up to the hype.
