After years of having to wait patiently for many Nintendo games to arrive in Europe — and most Atlus games for that matter — not only are we getting Xenoblade Chronicles, but we’re getting it even sooner than previously thought.
The release date for Xenoblade Chronicles has moved from September 2nd to August 19th, which gives us a week to finish it before Deus Ex: Human Revolution comes out. According to Eurogamer, an exclusive Game/Gamestation pre-order bundle will include the game Xenoblade Chronicles, a red Classic Controller Pro, and a poster tube with three enormous A1-sized posters that are “electronically signed” by Tetsuya Takahasi. At 50 pounds, that’s a pretty good deal if you don’t have the controller yet.
Between the European release of Xenoblade Chronicles and quite possibly The Last Story and Pandora’s Tower as well, it sure is good to be a European Wii owner for a change. I for one applaud Nintendo of Europe’s renewed efforts to bring quality games to the region in a timely manner for once, if only because it allows me to bathe in Jim Sterling’s tears.
I’m sure my American brethren will see these games in their region at some point, when Nintendo of America feels it has equalized suffering across the Western regions.
