Sony Online Entertainment brought their upcoming MMOFPS PlanetSide 2 to gamescom this year, and with it a brand-new gameplay trailer called POWER. From what I could tell, the trailer’s name has absolutely nothing to do with the actual content of said trailer. Which, by the way, shows off the games truly massive scale and Halo meets Battlefield gameplay in an MMO setting.
It also appears that SOE is gearing up to finally launch the beta, if the dialogue in the video is any indication. There’s no date set in stone, but you may want to go sign up on PlanetSide 2‘s official website to assure you have a spot for when the floodgates do open. I know I’m signing up myself, as any game that lets you jetpack into a base to take it over with more than twenty of your teammates is a game I can definitely get excited for.
