I don’t know what happened but I just saw some pretty things and now my spine hurts real bad. Free experimental art game EXO may have the same effect on you.
Yes, I said it: ART GAME! Unlike so many other games that are given the label, it fits EXO because it is an interactive experience made by multimedia artist Tabor Robak. The focus isn’t on taking in some lame, bloated narrative while walking slowly. Rather, the game is 100% about taking a 35-minute audio/visual psychedelic ride, featuring some of the most gorgeous vistas ever rendered in polygons. Shut it, Dear Esther!
I often harp on how ugly and uninspired art direction in most games is and EXO‘s adventurous palate and design only makes me feel stronger about this. You can watch the entire 35 minute game/thing on the website, but I highly recommend experiencing it for yourself with the highest settings. Sit in awe and wonder why 99% of games are muddy and boring by comparison.
You can download EXO for Windows or Mac on the official site.
