[Update #2: Bzzt, wrong again! Jake Kaufman has confirmed that Majesco has come through and the soundtrack will be available after the podcast. So get ready to win!]
[Update: We were alerted to an error in this story. The Double Dragon: Neon soundtrack will not be available to download on the same day as the Noise Channel broadcast. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused our readers]
Humble, never braggin’.
The Double Dragon cartoon had one of the best (and by best, I mean most ridiculous) theme songs of any cartoon out there (watch below). It’s probably due to the fact that Double Dragon: Neon composer Jake “virt” Kaufman is such a zany character that makes me think of the cartoon theme song whenever I see anything related to the upcoming game release, but just maybe the theme will be reprised in the game? Unlikely, but a boy can dream.
On Tuesday, September 11 at 10PM EST, Jake Kaufman will be on Noise Channel to stream the entire soundtrack from the game, provide commentary on his work, and to take questions from fans. The game will see a release on the same day, and the soundtrack will be available for purchase at the conclusion of the broadcast.
Are you ready to fight for right, the might of the dragon? Be sure to check out the listening party on Tuesday, watch the amazing cartoon theme song below (catchy, isn’t it?), and let us know what you think of what you’ve seen of the game so far.
