Deus Ex: Human Revolution did really well for Square Enix, and that helped their pocket book. The company says that they more than doubled profits in the six month period ending September 30. I’m glad to hear that this fantastic game sold over 2 million units worldwide in its first month.

Of course, Deus Ex can’t take all the credit for those doubled profits. Square Enix president Yoichi Wada said there was also growth in their web, social and mobile divisions.

Next Generation says that overall profits were up 115 percent over last year, to ¥3.7 billion ($47.3 million). They took that black and gold to the bank!
