Anomaly Warzone Earth developer 11 bit studios has an intriguing new offer that hopefully won’t blow up in its face when everything is said and done. Essentially, the company is allowing customers to pre-order its next game which has yet to actually be announced. All we really have to go on is the embedded teaser video above.

By pre-ordering before February 28, when the full reveal will take place, you’ll get the game for half price, which is $7.49. 11 bit is targeting a Q2 2013 release for Windows, Mac, and Linux. Additionally, there’s some kind of “extra gaming gift” that will be thrown in as well for those brave souls who put money down early.

It was only a matter of time before something like this happened, although I will say that it’s not drastically different from crowdfunding a game. There’s substantially less known about this specific project, sure, but 11 bit studios has a track record to reflect on, at least. Can’t say I’ll be signing up for this, however.
