Let me tell you something about the music in Kirby’s Adventure. It’s like…it’s like if you took how dogs dart and scramble around the house when they come in wet from the rain and distilled that into digital music. The music from Kirby’s Adventure is like the audible version of a 44 oz mug filled with Red Bull and Pixy Sticks and smooshed tiramisu and methamphetamine. It’s caffeine, fizz, liquid sugar and bubbles in your brain, entering through your ear holes. Your eyes flutter and you only see pink when they’re opened. Your brain moves in fast-forward. The music of Kirby’s Adventure was crafted to bring you to the point just before seizure.
I’m going to have an almost-seizure again when I get Kirby’s Adventure on the Nintendo eShop today. In 3D. This is one of Nintendo’s 3D Classics, and it’s only $5.99. A great game with brain melting music for less than $6? I’m already twitching.
My dream game! Escape Trick: Convenience Store ($4.99/500 DSi Points) traps you in a convenience store as a part-time clerk. You’ll have to search around inside the to find clues and learn why you are trapped there. It’s all first-person puzzles and clue hunting. Fudge that: I’m getting the biggest Slurpee ever and some Cool Ranch Doritos! Play and Learn Chinese ($7.99) teaches you one of the world’s hardest languages (Mandarin), with 700 phrases to cram into your brain.
On the Wii, 500 Points gets you Pinocchio’s Puzzle, a retelling of ol’ Big Nose’s story through puzzles. If I told you I knew any more about this my nose would start growing.
Finally, if you want to come back down after hearing that Kirby music, a new Nintendo Video features Legend of Zelda‘s peaceful “Great Fairy’s Fountain Theme.”
