Mod tools are next for Chivalry: Medieval Warfare

Steam Workshop integration, hooray!

In a video Q&A, Chivalry: Medieval Warfares lead game designer Steve Piggott mentioned that Chivalry‘s mod tools are currently “in the works” and that it shouldn’t be too long before they’re released to the public. He didn’t give an exact date, since it is likely too early to pinpoint something at this time, and it’s better to not have a date than to announce a date and miss it.

Also announced is Steam Workshop integration, allowing greater access to custom maps. Releasing mod tools, especially with Steam Workshop, makes me so happy. I’m always brought back to the old days of adding random mods onto my buddy’s Counter-Strike server like Ninja Rope, or playing custom maps like Clue and Hide N Seek. With such a loving and dedicated community, I have no doubt that Chivalry will get some insanely entertaining custom maps.

Disclosure: I've personally backed Double Fine Adventure, Wasteland 2, Dead State, SPORTSFRIENDS, Torment: Tides of Numera, STRAFE, and The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls. I have previously written for AbleGamers.com and continue to support them whenever possible (like HumbleBundle).
