The wait is finally worth it, right?
European Atlus fans have had it pretty rough recently. Shin Megami Tensei fans finally got Devil Survivor Overclocked on the 3DS nearly two years after the US and Japan, only to find that it currently has a game-breaking bug. They did get to share the great news that the fourth installment is coming to the West, except no release date was given for Europe, nor one for the recent Soul Hackers release. Finally, fans have been anxiously waiting for Persona 4 Arena to be released, whilst they watch the rest of the world play the gorgeous-looking sequel to death.
Well as reported previously, the end is finally near for European Persona fans, with the game being released on May 10. To reward (or placate) the European fans for their patience, on top of the GAME-exclusive Persona 4 Arena arranged soundtrack vinyl, Atlus and Zen United have gone the extra mile and produced the EU Persona 4 Arena Limited Edition!
Priced at £59.99 [$92] and apparently very limited, it comes with “the game, the Official Arrange Soundtrack CD, a replica Chie Badge Set, a Teddie and Midnight Channel double key ring, 300 piece Jigsaw with exclusive artwork and an exclusive ‘Midnight Channel’ black cotton Tote Bag — in an original Labrys/Shadow Labrys box.”
It’s pretty cool stuff, and would probably get it if it wasn’t for the fact that I still haven’t played Persona 4 Golden yet, which also happened to be delayed in Europe heh. I’ve heard a bit of grumbling from UK fans about Persona 4 Arena, with cancellations of pre-orders and some even boycotting it altogether, so I wonder if this limited edition is enough to make them forget their Atlus rage and forgive them all over again. For the US fans out there, would you have liked to get on this nice little package?
For anyone who wants to buy it, head over to Zen United’s official “Zen Store”, where you can also check out the Teddie Nendoroid. In the meantime, check out this unboxing video from Sony Playstation Access. Kudos to anyone who recognises the host.
