Warner Brothers is rereleasing Batman: Arkham City under the guide of a “Game of the Year” edition. Due for PS3 and Xbox 360 on May 29, it will include a set of alternative skins, the Catwoman, Nightwing, and Robin downloadable content, and an all new expansion featuring Joker’s upbeat (and beat up) sidekick.
“Harley Quinn’s Revenge” will star everybody’s favorite psychiatrist gone wrong, and it will also be available as a standalone download on April 30. In addition, the GOTY edition will include a download option for the animated movie, Batman: Year One.
These GOTY editions never quite sit well with me, what with their relaying of the message that first-day buyers were chumps. I often wonder if that’ll have a lasting effect on an industry that already wonders why more gamers aren’t buying on games brand new at launch.
