While I’m not terribly excited for Nintendo Land, Nintendo’s latest collection of mini-games, there’s no one on staff more pumped about the project than Jonathan Holmes. In this video, Holmes checks out “Legend of Zelda: Battle Quest,” and even I think the concept is pretty cool.
Nintendo seems to be all about making asymmetric multiplayer a thing, and Battle Quest is a great start. In the demo, Holmes is manning the GamePad, while two Nintendo folks are on Wii Remote duty. The two on remotes swing their swords about just like in Skyward Sword, while Holmes covers them with a bow and arrow. It’s a neat way of doing local multiplayer, and I hope Nintendo can come up with some more ways of doing unique multiplayer.
