Hotline Miami publisher Devolver Digital is just bringing us all sorts of good stuff. Recently we learned it would be publishing Gods Will Be Watching, which looks like a pixel version of The Thing. It’s publishing the rad Luftrausers, and now it has announced it will be publishing the experimental indie RPG Always Sometimes Monsters, which you’ll be able to check out at PAX.

Always Sometimes Monsters aims to explore themes and issues of the modern world where decisions you make affect your life and the lives of those around you. Players will assume the role of a character out of luck, out of money and on the verge of collapse after learning their beloved is set to marry someone else.

Out of luck and money? I’ve never had either. Sounds good to me. Developer Vagabond Dog’s Justin Amirkhani said, “Concepts of right and wrong can easily whittle away within the game, so we are looking forward to seeing what choices players make during their unique journeys.” Sounds good, too. It’s always sometimes interesting to see how choice and divergence are handled.

Also, props to whoever designed the title art. Great stuff.
