I’ll blood allow it
A former Harmonix developer is working on Blood Alloy, an urban sci-fi styled Metroidvania that takes cues from Dark Souls, Hotline Miami, Vanquish, and more. The latter is wonderfully evident in the protagonists’ showy cartwheels and neat jetpack.
You play as, “a young female amnesiac who regains consciousness in a lab and discovers that she’s been forcibly converted into a cyborg.” So it’s like a reluctant Samus. Or reverse The Other M. Rather than exploring, you find everything wants to make you dead, so you’re tasked with making yourself not dead by making everything else dead.
The game, in pre-alpha, already looks pretty tight and hectic. PC, Mac, and Android versions are planned. Console and handheld release is being looked into. You can check out its Kickstarter for more information. Make sure to check out the rad music samples.
