The Humble Bundle is branching out! Not content to deliver bundles of games at “pay-what-you-want” prices, now comes the Humble Music Bundle, featuring collections of music from beloved geeky groups including OK Go, They Might Be Giants, Jonathan Coulton and MC Frontalot. And, lest you think they’re forgetting their roots, the bundle also includes selections from one of the finest game soundtracks in recent memory, Valkyria Chronicles, as well as Christopher Tin’s debut album, Calling All Dawns, featuring the GRAMMY award-winning theme to Civilization IV.
Now, a good chunk of this material falls into “Greatest Hits” territory, most specifically the MC Frontalot and Jonathan Coulton collections, which are comprised almost entirely of tracks that fans are sure to have already (but a fine primer for the new). That said, it’s a ton of great music from talented musicians with all the warm fuzziness that comes from directly supporting artists and charitable organizations. The Humble Music Bundle is available now until August 10th.
And, yes, it’s compatible with Linux.
