Sick of the Dualshock’s analog placement?
The eternal argument over the superiority of the PS3 Dualshock or the 360 controller rages on, with hardware manufacturer Gioteck newest PlayStation 3 gamepad, that looks awfully familiar.
It completely adopts the 360’s style, all the way down to the staggered analog stick placement. It also offers wireless play, turbo, and thumb-stick sensitivity settings.
Although it would be silly to outright state which controller is “best,” I have to say I’ve always enjoyed the 360 controller in terms of overall comfort factor. The triggers just feel better on my fingers, and for first person shooters, I accept no substitutions. The d-pad on the other hand is another story, in which case I’ll switch to the PS3 in a nanosecond.
Luckily I have a solution, as I bought a cheap PS3 controller adapter for my 360 — solving the d-pad issue for fighting games and platformers. For the other side of the fence, you could buy this new $40 Gioteck controller.
