A week doesn’t go by without Nintendo announcing about a dozen new colors and designs for the 3DS in Japan. Meanwhile, Americans and Europeans get fed scraps once every blue moon. We may be getting the Animal Crossing XL, but the Luigi XL remains just outside of our reach. We don’t even have a plain white model here in the States!
So it is with a heavy heart that I look upon these Poké Ball and Game Boy 3DS mock-ups by digital artist Wenis and weep bitter tears of longing. I’m leaning towards the Game Boy model myself. It looks so damn sexy! But considering what a brick the OG Game Boy was, I think that design would be more appropriate on a 3DS XL.
If only. Le sigh.
