It’s still important to Phil Spencer
Microsoft’s E3 came and went without any mention of Crackdown, a franchise that many thought might return to help bolster the Xbox One’s software lineup. It looks somewhat likely that there may be some hope for future installments of the series.
As reported by GameSpot, Phil Spencer, the head of Microsoft Game Studios, said on Twitter that Crackdown is still important to him. However, its return comes with two stipulations — it requires both the “right team and time.”
Maybe he’s painfully aware of the shortcomings of Crackdown 2 as a wholly unnecessary and repetitive game. That being said, I think Avalanche Studios could really spice up a Crackdown title. Just sayin’.
