Kickstarter campaign to publish a beautiful hardbound book of videogame art
Backing videogame projects on Kickstarter is pretty commonplace these days but it’s rarer to back a physical, videogame-related product. Everyday is Play is a book designed by Matthew Kenyon, a graphic designer from West Yorkshire in the UK, featuring a contributions from a variety of artists, spanning photography, illustration, ceramics, sculpture, hardware mods and even song lyrics.
The plan is to create a 200+ page, cloth-covered hardback book that will showcase works from the like of Fangamer, Insert Coin, Indie Game The Movie, Iam8Bit and a variety of independent artists and designers like Cory Schmitz, Ian Anderson and personal online acquaintance Daniel Grey.
A pledge of £30 will get you the book, plus an ebook version and wallpapers. The next tier is the eye-watering £120, dubbed the Console Pack which will include some snazzy packaging as well as an A2 lithograph print and a t-shirt. Pricier even still is the Gold Edition which is £250 but limited number of those are left. The Kickstarter has just launched and has already pass 10% of it’s £26,000 target.
