Live show: So, I’ve never played Jet Set Radio

To some of my friends, that makes me a horrible person

[Mash Tactics airs Monday through Friday at 4p.m. Pacific on Dtoid.TV. Watch Rick ‘King Foom’ Olson play a variety of games, each day with its own theme. With a heavy focus on community and viewer interaction, you can be as much a part of the show as anything else.]

I’m sure you’ve all had that moment when you tell a group of people about some popular or ‘classic’ game that you never got around to playing, only to be met with looks of shock and disbelief, followed by a lecture on how you absolutely have to play said game as soon as humanly possible. One game I missed out on, that recently led me to be damn near disowned by some of my friends is Jet Set Radio. The time has come this evening to shut people up, strap on my virtual skates, and play it once and for all.

Come join me on Mash Tactics tonight as I dive in, and finally see what all of the hoopla is about. I think this game is about rollerblading, and, um, graffiti and stuff, but I seriously hope for all of the hype that’s been rammed up my keester by my peers, that there is more to it than that. While it may sound like I’m going in with a negative attitude, you have to understand that I’m just being cautious. I want to like the game, so I’m trying to shut out all of the praise, remember that it may be dated at this point, and go in with zero expectations. I’m sure it’ll be a fun time.

QotD: What games have you never played, that people try to push on you?
