Pre-order justified?
The Wii version of Rodea: The Sky Soldier, shown above, will be the only version to feature multiplayer. Up to four players can race to the end of five levels. The Wii U and 3DS versions of the game are lacking multiplayer entirely, and the Wii version will only be included with first-print copies of the Wii U version of the game.
In other news the Wii version plays entirely with the Wii remote by pointing at the screen, while the Wii U and 3DS versions use more of a traditional control scheme. Judging by the video above, the game is going to be action packed no matter what console you play on.
Rodea: The Sky Soldier is currently available in Japan and is scheduled for a late September release in the US. There is a demo available for the 3DS version in Japan, of which I’ll be doing impressions of in the coming days.
