Yacht Club Games announces March 31 release
The team at Yacht Club Games, bless ’em, are planning to make this March a little more magical with the release of Shovel Knight. Today, the developer announced the groundbreaking new title is nearing the final stretch of development, as the indie studio heads towards beta and puts the finishing touches on the game.
That process involves everything from localization to playtesting and certification. In case you’re curious as to why the development process is taking so long, Yacht Club says Shovel Knight turned out to be much more extensive than originally planned. Based off the latest trailer, I’d say that’s pretty accurate. It’s come a long way since I first got my hands on the PAX East demo nearly a year ago.
