For custom skaters
When Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 arrives in September, it’ll bring its fair share of goofy character parts for custom skaters, which is a tradition for the series. Sony has announced that there will be custom parts for Sackboy, Sweet Tooth, and Ratchet in tow, while Microsoft hasn’t unveiled any real plans yet.
Other online details have been revealed, like the fact that Freeskate hubs serve as 20-person lobbies, there are dedicated servers included, and you can manage skate parties. As a reminder, Sony is informing the public that the PS3 (and subsequently, Xbox 360) version, set to debut “later this year,” is $20 cheaper than the current generation’s iteration, solely because of a lack of online play.
Popular opinion be damned, I’m willing to give this a shot. I really hope it’s good.
