For those with a soft spot for graph paper
Guild of Dungeoneering might as well be a board game. It has the look of a hastily doodled tabletop role-playing game, and it features tile-laying and hand management mechanics. Each turn, the player draws up to five cards, plays or discards three of them, and then the hero automatically moves by a slightly fuzzy set of rules.
Although the goal is to collect as much loot as possible, the player cannot just play all loot and discard all monsters. Playing loot cards requires the currency Hope, which builds up only after defeating monsters. Those bigheaded dungeon delvers will have to get their hands dirty in order to make off with the good stuff. Naturally, most do not make it out alive at all.
Guild of Dungeoneering is currently on Steam Greenlight, awaiting approval.
