Heck, go to another symphony while you’re at it!
Don your best duds to go see a Pokémon symphony! Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions will premiere at the Warner Theater in Washington D.C. on Friday August 15, 2014. Coinciding with the symphony event will be the 2014 Pokémon World Championships being held August 16 and 17 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
The performance in D.C. will be followed by a show at Philadelphia’s Mann Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, September 19th with more dates, location, and ticket info for the concert series to be announced soon. Check out the official site here for more updates.
Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions is being produced by key creative producers from The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses tour and will include arrangements from classic and recent video games including:
– Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow
– Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal
– Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald
– Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum
– Pokémon Black and White
– Pokémon X and Y
“Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions is going to be a spectacular showcase of the memorable music that has been a hallmark of the Pokémon franchise for nearly 20 years,” said J.C. Smith, director of Consumer Marketing at The Pokémon Company International. “The concert series serves as a thank-you to fans and an invitation to share our passion for Pokémon by reliving some of our fondest memories. We’re looking forward to seeing fans of all ages meeting up and enjoying this very special Pokémon orchestral even together.”
