Mere days after Bethesda revealed plans to establish a satellite in Montréal, Gearbox Software has followed the Fallout developer’s lead, announcing a new studio in nearby Québec City, Canada.

The Duke Nukem: Forever and Aliens: Colonial Marines maker is already hiring for the new location, which will be co-headed by former Skylanders artist Pierre-Andre Dery and Sebastien Caisse, a business specialist and writer formerly of Québecor Media and Squeeze Animation.

If you’re curious as to why game companies are flocking to Québec, well, the local government provides tax incentives that make the province an attractive place for game studios to set up shop.
