130 full-time and 190 temp

Remember how we heard that Nintendo Europe will lay off 130 employees last month? It gets worse.
Those 130 full-time employees will lose their jobs this week, as will an additional 190 from their localization department in Germany, reports Kotaku. Though some of these were temporary employees, many have worked in this department for years. These folks were notified in June, though.
That original layoff news left a lot of people hanging; it’s finally happening this week.
Nintendo told Kotaku that the layoffs were to allow them to “better enable the European business to adapt to the rapidly changing business environment.”
Our best goes out to those affected.
