After a long wait, The Banner Saga is out on iOS platforms. You can grab it now for $9.99 — for reference, the PC version is still $19.99.
The game was released on the PC in January after a successful Kickstarter campaign, and fans have been waiting for almost a full year for the mobile version. This is basically a 1:1 port, and given the strategy-based gameplay it should translate just as well as XCOM and other games before it.
Note that the game doesn’t run on an iPhone 4, but will run on anything else above it.
