Get to know the people who make great videogames
This week on Sup Holmes we welcome Dina Abou Karam to the program. Dina’s the community manager at Comcept, the studio behind Mighty Number 9. We’ll be talking to her about what it takes to manage a community, what it’s like to be a part of one of the most successful game kickstarters in recent memory, how it feels to work on the same team as famed Mega Man series co-creator Keiji Inafune, how Bayonetta should have been marketed, being shy, the future of 2D action platformers, and a lot more.
On top of that, the good people at Touchten Games are offering up something special for you. Target Acquired, the latest game from Touchten, has a soundtrack from famed Mega Man composer Manami Matsumae. She’s also working on the music for Mighty Number 9. Touchten put two and two together and decided to offer up 4 copies of the limited edition, pop-up cover Target Acquired CD soundtrack, signed by Matsumae-san herself, to those who tune into today’s show. They’re also giving a special half-off discount to backers who want to get the CD from their kickstarter. Just follow this link, leave a comment on the KS saying “Sup, Holmes?”, and you can get the CD for a pledge of $50 instead of $100.
It’s a great day to be a fan of Manami Mastumae and Mega Man inspired fun.
