Dark Souls III has an interesting ban system. Since online play is crucial to the experience it would suck to have it removed outright, so you’re put into a pool with other cheaters/banned players. You can still play, but it’s not the same.
Sadly, a number of people have been reporting that they’ve been banned for no good reason in the past week, despite not using any cheats or trainers. Having reached out to Namco Bandai about the issue this week, they noted that some of the bans may have been by accident. They’ll check for false positives, and in the meantime, you should contact customer support.
Since this iteration is the fastest-selling yet for Bandai Namco, it may take a while.
