Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE, explained

New localization info

If it feels like forever since we’ve heard anything substantial about Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, it’s because the game was released in December in Japan. Hardcore importers have already gotten their hands on it, and the wait for a localization has been a lengthy one ever since the project was announced in 2013. Although the narrative looks a bit kooky, it’s actually not difficult to comprehend.

In essence, it deals with two youngsters — Itsuki Aoi and Tsubasa Oribe, the latter of which is trying to being an idol singer until she gets dragged through a dark portal in Tokyo. It turns out that they live in the Idolasphere, where two worlds meet, and that they belong to a band of saviors who have the power to protect both dimensions through “Mirage” powers. Hence, “Tokyo Mirage.”

You’ll get a chance to see what the hubbub is all about for yourself on June 24, when it arrives in North America and Europe. After all the “out there” trailers, I’m ready! Who knows, this might be up there on my list of “great games with the word ‘Mirage’ in the title.”
