Oh gee I wonder what it could be
Seems slightly strange to have a teaser countdown for a game we already know is coming, but that’s exactly what Beamdog seems to be doing with its already announced new Baldur’s Gate game.
The website is showing a countdown that is scheduled to end in 10 days. We know the game, previously dubbed Adventure Y, isn’t Baldur’s Gate 3 and is instead a new game set between Baldur’s Gate and Baldur’s Gate 2.
Beamdog has a history with the franchise, being the team behind the Enhanced remakes that have come out in recent years, as well as the Icewind Dale: Enhance Edition.
So there we have it, there’s a midqual for Baldur’s Gate coming, it’s probably going to be shown off in 10 days, try to act surprised. Unless they’ve been tricking us and then go ahead and announce Baldur’s Gate 3, then feel free to actually be surprised.
Either way, more Baldur’s Gate is good!
