Date a skeleton? At least five dogs?
What if I told you there was a game that looked similar to EarthBound where you could befriend enemies instead of killing them, and combat is a mixture of turn-based and a WarioWare-like mini-game. Would you believe me? That very game has released today on PC and it is called Undertale. It looks cutely bonkers.
According to the Steam page, “killing is unnecessary” and you can “time your attacks for extra damage, then dodge enemy attacks in a style reminiscent of top-down shooters.” Which sounds like a bit of Super Mario RPG and from the video, the defensive section looks like a WarioWare mini-game, but maybe that is just me? Apparently you can also date a skeleton; talk about getting boned, am I right? *wink, wink, nudge, nudge*
I haven’t gotten a chance to try the game myself, but I hope to give it a whirl as soon as I pull myself away from Destiny‘s hot new expansion.
