It’s been covered before, but to reiterate: no, your faithful Fallout 4 companion Dogmeat can’t perish. If that were to happen, players would reload their save file. In the words of game director Todd Howard, “No one plays the game [where] the dog dies and goes, ‘Fuck it, I’ll just keep playing!'”
