Those hard-to-find amiibo will soon be easier to find

Initiate Protocol Unicorn Restock

As of late, anyone who has really wanted to get their hands on all the amiibo have been able to. Japanese and European restocks of rare figures happened, and importing them at a reasonable price was possible. But, it’s not like you could just walk into Toys”R”Us in North America and expect to pick up a Little Mac. It was never that easy.

That scenario looks as if it could become a reality in the near future. Nintendo of America sent out a tweet today that said “Look who’s back! Little Mac, Greninja, Shulk, Lucario, Fox & Captain Falcon will be restocked [at] select retailers soon.” There’s no word as to the quantity or time frame of the restock, but at least we know it’s happening sometime.

Three of the six amiibo mentioned in the tweet are, up until this point, exclusives to specific retailers. That looks like it’s set to change. This week, Greninja, Lucario, and Shulk have all appeared in Best Buy’s system. This means that it seems as if exclusivity is timed or limited to a first run.

The point to all of this is that rare amiibo are going to be popping up all over the place in the near future. If you didn’t pay exorbitant prices while they were in high demand, you’ll probably be able to find them for $12 very soon. It pays to be patient.
