My hands thank you
It’s disappointing that not all Nintendo Switch games (within reason) support the Pro Controller.
Steep price tag aside, it’s a great-feeling gamepad, and I want to use it anywhere and everywhere I can with the Switch. It makes sense that something like Voez, a touch-only rhythm game, wouldn’t play nice with the device. But Blaster Master Zero? Really? That came as an unpleasant surprise.
At least in this specific case, we didn’t have to wait too long for support to arrive. Inti Creates has patched Blaster Master Zero to work with the Pro Controller, so if you’ve been waiting to play with the superior d-pad, you’re in the clear. Look for “version 1.1” on the game’s start screen.
As far as I can tell, co-op still only works with two Joy-Con controllers held sideways. Which, drat.
