Oh my swirls!
The Yo-Kai Watch series is a phenomenon in Japan, and it looks like it’s still doing quite well. Level-5 is reporting that it has shipped 10 million units to date, which is an increase from March, when it topped seven million. The launch of two Ghostbusters-themed spinoffs definitely added to this number, as did the undisclosed sales of the western localization of the first game.
Good on Level-5, but I really, really hope that the series catches on in the west. We still don’t have concrete sales numbers yet, and Nintendo of America usually toots its own horn when it comes to that.
