Try to figure out what the hell is happening in BlazBlue: Central Fiction 2.0’s opening video

Make new friends, but keep the old

BlazBlue: Central Fiction’s 2.0 update will be hitting Japanese arcades next Thursday, August 3. To give players a teaser of what’s to come, Arc System Works has shared the opening video that shows literal glimpses of the new character, Jubei, in action. I honestly have no idea what I watched, but it certainly is flashy and colorful.

While I don’t have any problem with BlazBlue as a game, its been really exhausting trying to keep up with the constant updates. I loved the original, but I started to get confused when we saw things like Continuum Shift II and Chrono Phantasma Extend. As such, I’ve been out of the series for a long time.

Just seeing all the damn characters in this trailer makes me really happy. The only real issue I could lobby at the original BlazBlue was that its roster was rather limited. While I still believe its better to have a small, interesting line-up over a bloated, but totally boring one, BlazBlue exhibited so much quality that it deserved to get at least a few more faces.

Anyway, the 2.0 update for Central Fiction will be landing at some point in the summer for PS4, PS3 and PC. This may be where I get back into the series, because I miss smacking people with Hakumen’s sword.
