Our friends over at Machinima are holding a contest! The contest is split up into two parts and is related to the upcoming movie Beowulf. For the first contest, you need to mash-up the trailer for Beowulf using the clips provided from the original trailer and from the game Lair. First place winner of the contest will win a $500 Best Buy gift card and second place will win a $250 Best Buy gift card. This contest ends November 28th.
The other contest is a lot more involved than the mash-up contest and has a higher prize value. You can download the audio, titles and blanked out video from the official trailer and recreate it using any game you want Machinima style. First place will win $1,000 Best Buy gift card and the winning video will be on the homepage of MySpace. Second place will win $500 Best Buy gift card. The deadline for this contest is November 8th.
Now how awesome would it be if someone could remake the Beowulf trailer using Katamari Damacy?
