North America has to wait until April 14

At last week’s Nintendo Direct, it was announced a whole load of SNES games are finally making their way over to the New 3DS and New 3DS XL. However, when the games come out is different depending upon your region.

Last week Europe saw Super Mario World and F-Zero, and we’re getting the next wave of them only a few days from now! On March 10, we will be getting The Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past and Super Metroid.

North America will have to wait until April 14 for those!

Like every other SNES game on 3DS, the two will be available as part of a buy one, get one half-price sale for the first week. If they’re the same price as Mario and Earthbound, it should be around £11-ish for both of them.

Here’s the full list of EU release dates:

March 3: Super Mario World and Earthbound

March 10: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Super Metroid

March 17: F-Zero and Super Mario Kart

March 24: Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy Kong’s Quest

I have a confession to make: I’ve never played A Link to the Past, because I only got into Zelda with A Link Between Worlds. Being able to finally play it on the 3DS (which works really well for top-down games) is awesome!
