Just around the corner right?
Rockstar Games have released their next trailer for the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2, which was announced late last year before being delayed to spring 2018. Sadly, the latest trailer doesn’t seem to narrow that time window down. But it sure looks purdy, all while showcasing plenty of juicy new details.
The biggest and most notable of which is that we now have more information on a playable character and potential protagonist in the form of “Arthur Morgan,” which was confirmed from the official Rockstar Games UK YouTube channel description:
“The all-new trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2, the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang as they rob, fight and steal their way across the vast and rugged heart of America in order to survive. Coming Spring 2018 to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems.”
Another thing of note is the game is now confirmed as a prequel to the original, with the mention of “Van der Linde gang.” Dutch himself even makes an appearance at 1:15 in the new trailer. On top of already confirmed things such as dual wielding revolvers and canoes, notably a bow can be seen being used in the new trailer as well.
But what do you think? Will Red Dead Redemption 2 be worth the nearly eight year wait? I’m still curious whether or not they’ll take a multi-character approach like they did with Grand Theft Auto V.
