Earlier this month, virginal, never-touched-a-porn-before Steven Hansen let everyone know that Overwatch porn searches were up 817%. Some of the creators of the sexual imagery are being hit with takedowns for alleged copyright infringement.

PCGamesN found that notices such as these were sent to channels that ripped character model assets from Overwatch, added the good bits, and animated them doing sex things using Steam’s Source Filmmaker. From what I can tell, folks who’ve simply drawn Mei or Hanzo nekkid (or your character of choice, you filth) haven’t received any notices. It would seem that these claims are being made by irdeto.com and easysol.net, two Internet security firms.

Blizzard taking action against stolen assets is one thing, but it may also be trying to clear up Overwatch‘s image as the “horny as hell Team Fortress 2” right now. Considering I Googled “Widowmaker Overwatch” and saw her blue asshole within the top thirty results, that might be a good idea. Especially since Chris Carter (and basically everyone else at Destructoid) agrees that it’s a damn good game.

For those of you who want to punish your genitals (or pop your Ult, as it were), while researching this topic I discovered that 75% of the internet is now Rule 34 for Overwatch. Good lord.
