Dual hammer down
Even if you don’t play Overwatch you’ve probably seen at least 100 “Play of the Game” clips. They’re everywhere, and you basically couldn’t escape them at launch as everyone and their grandmother uploaded that one time they earned it.
But now with the Overwatch League and the rise of the pro scene, we’re seeing more amazing plays that are worth sharing — and that’s just what Fissure did this week. Chan-hyung “Fissure” Baek is known for his tank play, and while streaming yesterday he made quite the amazing play with Reinhardt. In short he runs up on a team Lijiang Tower’s Garden, and just as he gets around the corner after a bit of footsies he pops his ultimate, knocking the other team on the ground. They live, but he calmly earns another ultimate in six seconds flat, immediately pops it, and decimates them. You can see the twitch skill in action as the second ultimate barely even registers on-screen — he just knew when he’d earn it and did his thing.
If you dug the play you can watch Fissure play on the Los Angeles Gladiators in the Overwatch League: their next game is Wednesday, May 16 at 7PM ET against the San Francisco Shock, who both share the same record of 6-4 this stage (there are four stages of play spread across several weeks each) and are fighting for a future playoff spot.
