November 7
Live at Microsoft’s 2017 E3 conference, Microsoft unveiled the Xbox One X, the newest member of the Xbox family.
It’ll launch on November 7 and will support 4K and HDR, as well as Dolby Atmos sound and 4K UHD Blu-ray playback. The specs are: 6 Teraflop GPU clocked at 1.172 Ghz, 12GB of GDDR5 memory, and 326GB of memory. It’ll also use a liquid-cooled vapor chamber that’s “only used in high-end PCs.” It’s the “smallest Xbox ever.”
All Xbox One accessories and games will work with the Xbox One X. Your entire game library will allegedly be enhanced with faster load times and higher fidelity, a la the PS4 Pro.
But will people buy it? We’ll see come this November. Maybe Microsoft will start sharing sales numbers again.
