Even if Death Stranding isn’t good, this is
In case you haven’t heard, Hideo Kojima is working with a few of his good buddies on Death Stranding, a PS4 game that still doesn’t even have a release year.
The partnership came about after the whole Silent Hill cancellation business, as Kojima had planned on partnering with Norman Reedus and Guillermo del Toro on the project — now he can realize that dream with his independent production company. Oh, and Danish superstar actor Mads Mikkelsen is apparently now in his crew too.
Backed by an insanely cool reveal that showcases Mikkelsen’s particular bravado when playing a villain, he was confirmed to be involved with the game last year, and a recent interaction in particular warms my hear — as Kojima just posted today that he had chopsticks “made by maestro inherited from Edo era,” which had Mikkelsen’s name engraved on it.
Kojima is living the dream. If Hannibal is actually revived for season four, maybe he’ll have a cameo.
