Get hype
It’s been a long time since we’ve heard anything about One Finger Death Punch 2, but it looks like Silver Dollar Games is finally ready to show it off at this year’s GDC, as part of the Indie Megabooth showcase.
The first game in the series is one of the best ways you could possibly ever spend five dollars, and the sequel looks to be shaping up nicely. I’m not sure how I feel about the color scheme just yet, but all I really care about is that sweet, sweet gameplay.
For those who don’t know, all of the combat takes place with just the left and right mouse buttons. The way that they take the simple premise and stretch it for everything its worth is absolutely brilliant. There was so much creativity pounded into the varying enemy patterns and game modes that I was smiling like an idiot the whole time I played.
You might recognize the two guys behind this from their time flooding the Xbox Live Indie Games marketplace with such classics as Try Not To Fart, No Luka No, and, my personal favorite, Office Affairs. Believe it or not, these folks played a huge part in introducing me to just how creative, dumb, and fun indie games can be. They sincerely did not give a fuck, and I loved them for it.
We’re still a long ways off from the projected 2019 release date, but I’m getting all giddy just thinking about it. In the meantime, check out this badass new trailer.
